The Birmingham Free Legal Advice Group (Birmingham FLAG) offers free written legal advice to people living in Birmingham.
Advice is available in a variety of fields, including:
Family (divorce, ancillary relief)
Children (private law: contact/residence)
Unmarried couples (children, property)
Children (public law care proceedings)*
Data Protection Act
Freedom of Information
Wills & probate
Property (not landlord and tenant)
* = only limited capacity to provide advice in this area.
Appointments ar held every Thursday evening (5-7pm) during term time, at the Law School in Edgbaston.
You will receive a letter of advice within the two weeks following your appointment.
Please note that Birmingham FLAG offers an advice-only service. They cannot take on cases nor provide representation.
